Questions owners ask
How much do agents charge in Egypt?
You agree the fee directly with your agent. Commonly it is around 2.5% of the sale price, or one month's rent for a yearly lease. Agree the fee and what it covers in writing before the agent markets your home.
I live outside Egypt. Can an agent handle everything?
Yes. Many owners in the Gulf, Europe and North America sell or rent through an agent here. You will usually need a power of attorney (tawkeel), issued at an Egyptian consulate or notarised in Egypt, so the agent can handle viewings, contracts and handover for you. Look for agents marked "Helps owners abroad".
Is my agent registered?
Egypt now has an official real estate brokers registry (Ministerial Decision 578 of 2025). Agents who give us their registry number show a Registered broker badge once we confirm it.
Should I give my home to one agent or many?
Listing with many brokers often means the same home appears at different prices, which makes buyers suspicious. One or two agents you trust, at one agreed price, usually sells faster and for more.
What does Feinh cost me?
